Time

As we spiral toward the future it is important to remember that we are constantly spinning, cycling around ourselves and our worlds. A step in one direction is nothing but a choice made that defines a future world. Your kindness, your love is your strength right now. Try to grasp it and remember who you are.

We as a community are currently experiencing a challenge to our way of life and our need to be free to express ourselves in own ways. Australia is being called to stand for unity and equality. As we prepare to vote in yet another distraction from the real issues we are facing, our values are being tested and our hearts used to make a statement which will define how we treat each other daily. A vote for yes will make us feel good and add a safer space for discussion to bring equality and inclusion into our future policies, yet it will not provide that equality. It keeps us divided with old ideas dragging us down and committing future issues to restrictions of colour and gender. 

As the issue of what happens if we vote No, is shrugged off by both sides of the campaign, after no change is good isn’t it? , we are neglecting the real change that needs to occur, an assurance that every community is consulted and can assist the policy makers in finding the right solutions. At a time when the world is on the brink of repeating past patterns and taking two steps back, before we move forward, the last thing we need is to be fighting amongst ourselves.

A call for unity a vote for yes and we can pull together so as I say yes to both a vote and a mission, I shake my head at the insensitivity of others and the strategy we will all now require to rebuild and rebalance our nation and our personal views on humanity and progress.
